Wednesday Morning

It has been a few days since my last post. Not much has changed. I
really enjoy my new job and I am still very busy with school. I think
I have 9 class days left before I am finally done. These last classes
seem to be tougher than any other class that I have taken. I press
on!

I am trying for another 5k on 10/10/09. Our treadmill sorta broke
down. I am working on getting that fixed, meanwhile I am forced to
run outside. Running outside is not bad but we are approaching the
fall season and tends to be very cold in the morning so I have to
bundle up a bit. I actaully think its good practice for races in the
fall.

Till the next time.

Sunday Evening

I got back from our nation’s capital.  All done with my training and ready to hit the ground running.  I am very happy to be back home where I can see my family.  I missed them a great deal!  I also missed two classes of school so I am currently trying to make that up and reading furiously.  I have an exam on Tuesday and wondering what it is really over (was not in class).  I had to go to a funeral on Saturday, a good friend’s mother had passed away.  Very sad to see any loved one go.  I look forward to going back to work.  I really can’t wait for school to be over with.

What a weekend so far! Had a relaxing Friday and I am currently camping with my family. Brought the pie irons and made some sweet sandwiches. Kids are asleep and hanging out at the fire. Wondering what we are going to have for breakfast. Perhaps I'll get the pie irons out and make some eggs and sausage. I am tired but its worth it!

Until the next time!

9/11

It has been 8 years since the attacks on the US have occurred. Seems as though not much has changed really. Yes we pay tribute to those that lost their lives but we still have a problem paying tribute to those that are living. We still have no idea how fragile life can be. I can give you lots of examples of how people mistreat other people. Why can we not learn from the past? Driving in to work this morning I noticed people unwilling to 'let me in' or to yield. Why does it take a terrorist attack for people to be nice for a few days? Why is everyone so nice to each other around Christmas time? Why can't we always be nice to people? I know I am not perfect but I do try to be the best person I can be. Although sometimes difficult, I try to promote peace and equality.

I am looking forward to this weekend. It will be the fist time we are all going camping. Should be very interesting. I will sure keep you posted on the event. I will be leaving for our nation's capital on Monday for a week of training. I am looking forward to that.

Till the next time, give peace a chance! (John Lennon)

Labor Day Weekend

Has been a great weekend so far!  Went to the Indians game with my son (his first game) along with my dad and my father-in-law.  Indians did win the game and watched the fireworks after.  I think my son had a great time!

I am going to be running a 5k on Monday.  I hope I am able to finish with a decent time.  I have been working hard.  I wish I had more time to devote to my running.  School has already become a huge task.  Reading, reading, and more reading, that is what my classes are about.  I keep thinking that there is only three months left.  That is what keeps me going.

Tuesday

Been a few days since my last post. School has sure made my days busy. Glad ots the home stretch. I continue to train for my next 5k. I am trying to beat my last time of 24:44. That may be tough but I'm going to try. My new job is going awesome! I really enjoy the work and the people. Along with my school work, I am trying to study for my CISSP (should be interesting). So we'll see how the next few months go...
