Wednesday

Started my last semester of school this past Tuesday August 25th.  I can’t believe this will be my last semester of this MBA journey.  Seems like just last week I started.  Anyway…my new gig is going awesome!  I am learning a ton and look forward to the new technologies.  I am training for yet another 5k run set for September 7th.  My runs have not been as well as I’d like them to be but I push through.  I seem to like running 5ks, I really didn’t think that I would.  The nerves in the beginning are something to get used to but after the gun, I try to find my stride and do my best.  I will post again soon.

Post Run Feelings

I did finish the 5K Corn Run this morning. I think I had a really good time of 24:44, beating my last time by over two minutes. Was a great day! My family was there to watch me cross the finish line. My mom and dad came to see me as well. I was surprised to see them. After the race we all went to Bob Evans for some schweet grub. I was so hungry! So of course I ate a lot.

In other news, I did get a new job. I will be starting on August 17th. I am pretty excited. This will give me the opportunity to focus on Security. I am sure I will be posting the progress of that in the near future.

It's Friday

Another Friday is upon us. I am looking forward to getting out of
work so that I can enjoy my weekend. I will be running another 5k on
Saturday 8/8/09 (North Ridgeville Corn Run). I am not nervous at the
time of this writing but I know I will become nervous closer to race
time. I just hope that I can finish with a decent time without
injury. This will be the first race with some role reversal. My
wonderful wife and family will be there to cheer me on. It is usually
me and the kids cheering her on. So that should be interesting. It
is supposed to be around 82 degrees and very humid (typical August) so
I am not sure how I will perform in that condition. I do know that I
will do my best.

I have two more classes left in this summer semester. The end can not
come soon enough. Again I have to say thank you to my beautiful wife
for all the support she has given me over the course of this MBA. I
am not sure how to thank her. I look forward to the days when I do
not have homework or projects so I can come home from work and spend
evenings with my family.
