Different Day Today

Today is September 11 2008, do you remember where you were in 2001? I do, I was driving back from the vet with my dog, not really understanding the magnitude of what transpired. I can remember being glued to the TV for the next 3 days. Every channel had non-stop coverage of the clean up and recovery efforts. ... I don't think that I will ever forget that day. I remember seeing some of the horrific pictures.



I could probably talk about that topic all day long....

On a brighter note, my son started his first day of pre-school. He called me when he got home and said that he had a great time! Kids do grow up super fast. I have another super busy day at work and I have school this evening (Accounting barf). I can't wait

Labor Day

Well I had a decent Labor day weekend. I sat amongst friends and family the whole weekend. Of course no holiday weekend would complete with out a few adult beverages. Friday, I went to an Oktoberfest with the fam and had a really good time. They had a great beer tasting contest (Oktoberfest beer of course). On Monday, had all of my siblings and parent over at the ponderosa. I grilled up some chicken and served up some of my home brew. I think I had a little too much because clean up took a really long time. However, I did sleep pretty good. Its funny cause I think I always sleep better after have a few adult beverages.

I think I may have mentioned before that I am back in school. Hopefully will have my MBA completed by December 2009. Anyway, I am taking Accounting (managerial) and I think that I officially can not stand it. I just can't seem to grasp these concepts. I tend to struggle. I just had to blog that in the event you dont hear from me its cause I got tired of Accounting and moved to Fiji....

Just a few

well it has been a few days since my last post. since then I have been some what busy. On August 24th I brewed up 10 gallons of beer. I am really looking to tasting that in about 2 months. Also, I started back at school on August 26th. Thats not going to be fun...another 15 months and I will have my MBA (whatever that will get me). So I will need to make a lot more beer to survive the next gruelling 15 months of staying up late.

I have been looking at other peoples blogs and I have to say...I really dont type that much compared to others. Does that make me boring? Or do I just get to the point and tell my story? Or...do I just not understand blogging and totally do it way wrong? who knows... I really dont have all the extra free time to type my life in there. I think as time goes by I will be able to increase the amount of words I type.

We'll see!

Another Crazy Day

Wow...what a crazy day. I had to work for what I thought was going to be for an hour but turned out to be about 4. Was up very late and didn't get a lot of sleep. I can not wait for the weekend!! I am going to be brewing up some beer on Sunday. Having a few friends over and having some burgers or pizza. I really look forward to spending time in the garage drinking good beer and brewing. I will be sure to take a few pictures and share.

Vacations Rewind

Ok ok ok...I said before that everyone should probably take a vacation. Well I am not one of them. I get too frustrated when everyone wants to do everything that I do not want to do. I do not say anything...I don't usually have to either, its written all over my face and my attitude. I suppose I can't really blame anyone. I think we just have to wait a few more years until I can yell at my kids and have them not cry for 3 hours afterwards. I probably bring most of this on myself. Try to balance work, family, and school (oh ya...I went back to school, MBA) I am not sure why I did it. Maybe I have to prove something to myself or maybe just need to get out of the house. Vacations are supposed to be a time of relaxation but instead, this was one of the most challenging weeks of my life. My mother in-law says if this was the most challenging...just wait till they become teenagers. She is probably right...hopefully by that time we can go on a vacation and actually relax. Maybe we wont bring the kids, we will leave them with my mother-in-law.

I am looking forward to going back to work on Monday (does that make sense?)

Vacations

Ok... I know everyone probably needs a vacation. I know that I should probably be no different but I can not seem to disconnect from work. I continue to check my Black Berry for new mails. I send out short emails to co-workers for updates on issues. I think that I prefer to take long weekends...start on Thursdays go back to work on Monday. Does anyone else feel the same way? I mean...I am probably the exception to the rule. Does anyone have advice on how to actually go on vacation without thinking about the office? I would really prefer to relax and not think about anything but relaxing.

Well Here it is

Today is the first day of my blogging life. I am not sure what exactly to write. I have heard of blogging and I know a few people that actually do it. I hope that when people read this....they wont puke. I am going to try to explain my life....my world and my hobbies.
